Community Engagement

Capacity Consulting is a leader in the field of community engagement providing these services to a range of local government, state government, community organisations and corporate clients. Every project that is undertaken by Capacity Consulting is delivered using a community engagement matrix specifically designed for the project. A range of processes can be provided to suit the nature of the project and to meet the needs of the client.

Examples include facilitation of workshops, surveys, newsletters, media promotion, informing communities, individual meetings with stakeholders, site meetings and Open House Forums.

We are a member of IAP2 and use the principles of the IAP2 Public Participation Spectrum in all projects.

Community Engagement Projects

Active Youth Spaces – City of Kingston

community engagement projects kingston

The Kingston Active Youth Spaces Program project is targeted at places where young people meet in public open spaces such as Skate Parks and BMX facilities.

The engagement process has been targeted at field work and using a range of innovative techniques in engagement. IPAD’s have been utilised to post comments on a live online site.

A great fun technique that was also used was a graffiti couch. Young people had their say on the coach. This was facilitated by the Capacity Consulting ‘Youth Crew”.

You can check out the very cool photos of young people participation in the graffiti couch session at the online forum.

Community Engagement Training - City of Greater Bendigo

Capacity Consulting has recently provided community engagement training for the Greater City of Bendigo. This training was in relation to the recently adopted a Community Engagement Policy and Framework.

Over 30 staff attended the training sessions and Capacity Consulting has been asked to deliver additional training because the first round of sessions was so successful.

Carlton Baths Redevelopment – City of Melbourne
